June 2015- Poppy and Zoobie Tomkins

Poppy and Zoobie come in for regular pamper sessions at Emily’s Groom Room and at first their mummy and daddy had to stay to hold their paws. But at their most recent visit to Emily’s Groom Room, mummy and daddy left Poppy and Zoobie for their treatments, and even though Poppy sung her way through being dried, they behaved impeccably and thoroughly deserve to be this month’s stars!

July 2015- Nessie Mogridge

On Nessie’s first trip to Emily’s Groom Room, her mummy had to stay and hold her paw as Nessie was very nervous; all through her pamper treatment she was as a good as gold, and she looked beautiful at the end.  On Nessie’s next trip to Emily’s Groom Room, her mummy decided to leave Nessie on her own to see if she would be ok, well the picture says it all! Nessie was absolutely brilliant and by the end, Nessie was so chilled she didn’t even want to get off the table! Well done Nessie!

August 2015- Bella Stuckey

Bella is a Bichon puppy and was 13 weeks old on her first trip to Emily’s Groom Room, her mum and dad wanted her to get used to grooming as her coat will need a lot of care as she gets older.  On her first trip to Emily’s Groom Room, she was very nervous but did exceptionally well for a puppy so young, since then, Bella has come for regular visits, and on her most recent visit, Bella stood without aids, on the table for a paw and face trim! This is amazing for such a young puppy and we can not wait to see what a lovely girl Bella grows into!

September 2015- Zak Nicol

Zak is one of Emily’s Groom Room regular woofs, when his mummy first enquired about booking Zak in for his pamper session, she explained he was a nervous little soul.  Along came Zak, and he was an absolute star! One of the best little poodles I groom currently, and he even goes out with his tail wagging! Each pamper session, Zak’s confidence improves, and I’m sure he will continue to be a little super star!

October 2015- Lottie Brown

Emily’s Groom Room first met Lottie and her parents at the Retro Fundraising Event in our local village Martock where Lottie was only a very small puppy.  Since then Lottie has been visiting us on a regular basis for her puppy pamper sessions, but this month it was time for Lottie to have her first big girl hair cut, and she was a superstar!! She stood like a pro and took the whole experience in her stride, and she looked beautiful when she was all finished!  Well done Lottie!

November 2015- Pedro Chambers-Swords

Pedro is one of Emily’s Groom Room’s regular woofs now, on his first visit to us Pedro came with half a sticky bush attached to his coat, and he was a superstar whilst we got all of those pesky sticky buds out! On Pedro’s most recent visit to Emily’s Groom Room, he plastered Emily in so many kisses he easily deserved Dog of the Month for November! Well done Pedro!

Dececmber 2015- Coco Ball

Coco has been coming down the road from South Petherton  to Emily’s Groom Room for a little while now, and when Coco first started coming, she missed her mum a little!  But now with plenty of reassurance, cuddles and biscuits, Coco feels so relaxed and pampered that she wanted to stay on the table!  Coco is such a little star and this is why she deserves Dog of the Month for December!

January 2016- Bertie Luders

Bertie has visited Emily’s Groom Room a couple of times now and each time Bertie arrives, he’s so excited and all he wants is tickles and belly rub’s through out his pamper session!  The last time Bertie visited was extra special as Bertie was having his portrait drawn the following day, so Bertie needed to look even more handsome than his usual self! Bertie took it all under his paw though and was good as gold, even if he did stick his tongue out at us in the bath!

February 2016- Macy Ellis

Macy is one of four of a family of Bearded Collies that visits Emily’s Groom Room, Macy is an older lady now but each time Macy visits, she enjoys her scrub in the tub and then waits patiently whilst we tackle her beautiful full length coat, and we think you’ll agree, Macy just looks simply stunning and for that reason, Macy is February’s Dog of the Month!

March 2016- Hattie Binns

Hattie is a older lady that has been visiting Emily’s Groom Room for a while now, since Hattie has been visiting us, she has had some health problems including an operation! She has recovered really well, and every time Hattie visits, she is full of it! She loves her biscuits post pamper session and this time she found our toy tub, here she is playing with our ‘watts in the box’ tugs!

April 2016- George Faull

George comes from one of the nearby villages and has been visiting Emily’s Groom Room for a while now on a very regular basis, even though George doesn’t particularly love a bath, he takes it all in his stride and behaves impeccably! Once its all over and George has left a mountain of hair behind him, he knows exactly what’s next……biscuit time!  Thank you for being such a good boy George and always making us laugh!

May 2016- Brecom Orchard

Brecom is one of Emily’s Groom Room newer customers and the first time this lovely little man visited,  he was full of springs and found it very hard to contain all of his excitement!  Now Brecom is learning what pamper sessions are all about and really getting into the swing of it, and we think you’ll agree he wins the cuteness factor!!

June 2016- Booster & Bramble Brake

Booster & Bramble live next door to Emily’s Groom Room and spend most of their time enjoying the free run of fields and chasing their resident rabbits! They have been visiting Emily’s Groom Room for a while now and every time they come they jump out of the car with their tails wagging and we are sure they enjoy it the whole time they are here! And the added bonus is that they appear to like having their photo’s taken and always pull the cutest pose! We look forward to seeing you next time boys!

July 2016- Teddy Want

Teddy is definitely one of a kind! Teddy is a Shitzu crossed with a Cocker Spaniel and beyond cute.  Teddy has been visiting Emily’s Groom Room since he was 12 weeks old, on his first visit he was petrified of having his face trimmed with scissors, so we hatched a plan with his mum, and with all their hard work, Teddy is now perfectly behaved and so brave when having his face trimmed.  Last time Teddy visited us, he had his first big boy hair cut, he was a super star and I think its safe to say he is super handsome!

October 2016 – Archie Thayer

As you may have noticed, Dog of the Month as been fairly quiet recently, this is due to a bit of a change! For the next few months, the lucky winner for the month, will not only have their fame but also will receive a voucher for a FREE photoshoot across the road from us at Cummins Photography!!

So, October 2016 and first photoshoot winner is Archie! As some of you may have seen, I ‘borrow’ Archie from his mummy to groom him at competitions.  I first met Archie over a year ago when he was certainly full of life and didn’t really understand what the whole grooming thing was! But with months of practice and dedication from his mummy, Archie now is the perfect woof to groom! He gets carted off to different parts of the country where he has to stand very patiently to be groomed in a very different environment, and then inspected by very exciting people and the whole time has to contain his excitement! So for that reason alone, I think Archie deserves Dog of the Month for October!

Well done Archie and thank you for being such a super star!!

November 2016 – Harvey Sargent

As you may have noticed, Dog of the Month as been fairly quiet recently, this is due to a bit of a change! For the next few months, the lucky winner for the month, will not only have their fame but also will receive a voucher for a FREE photoshoot across the road from us at Cummins Photography!!

So, November 2016 and our second photoshoot winner is Harvey! Harvey is an 8 year old Airdale that has been rescued and rehomed recently by one of our regular customers.  Harvey came to us at the beginning of November, having never been to a Groomer before and several medical problems including being underweight.  Despite this Harvey was an absolute gem to groom!  Harvey stood like a pro as we removed all of his matted coat to expose some sore skin and even though this must have been uncomfortable, he didn’t once complain! Harvey was an absolute star as at the end of a long session covered us with kisses and almost seemed grateful to get rid of his old coat! After all of what Harvey has been through and then to act like this, we think Harvey thoroughly deserves November’s Dog of the Month!

Well done Harvey and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

December 2016 – Angus, Halle & Macy Ellis

As you may have noticed, Dog of the Month as been fairly quiet recently, this is due to a bit of a change! For the next few months, the lucky winner for the month, will not only have their fame but also will receive a voucher for a FREE photoshoot across the road from us at Cummins Photography!!

So, December 2016 and our third photoshoot winner goes to our Beardie family; Angus, Halle & Macy! These three gorgeous woofs visit us every week to keep their lovely long coats in fab condition, so Emily’s Groom Room is like their second home!

But this isn’t the reason why they deserve ‘Dog of the Month’, until recently there was four in this family, and after a huge shock and some very hard times, they have lost a beautiful and loving girly; Daisy-Mae.  Daisy has left a huge hole and is missed dearly, Angus, Halle & Macy are not themselves as they are grieving but despite this they still come in and cover us with licks and kisses, so it is for this reason that we think they deserve ‘Dogs of the Month’ for December!

Rest in Peace Daisy-Mae xx

January 2017- Gee & Boo Charles

As you may have noticed, Dog of the Month as been fairly quiet recently, this is due to a bit of a change! For the next few months, the lucky winner for the month, will not only have their fame but also will receive a voucher for a FREE photoshoot across the road from us at Cummins Photography!!

So, our first new year winner and fourth photoshoot winner goes to Gee & Boo Charles.  We have been grooming Gee since he was a little puppy and he has come on leaps and bounds and now stands like a pro! Recently, Gee became a big brother to Boo, a beautiful little girl who has also become a regular visitor with Gee! Boo always comes in with her tail wagging and is an absolute gem to groom! But the thing that makes us smile the most and why Gee & Boo are January 2017 Dog of the Month, is that once they have both finished being pampered, they race to get up and sit on our desk and become Emily’s Groom Room receptionists!

February 2017- Jet Benbow

So its time for a change once more, from now on, each dog of the month winner for the next 12 months will be put into a prize draw to win a Pamper session and a Dogyilish hamper! So make sure you keep telling us why your special friend deserves to be Emily’s Groom Room Dog of the Month.

February 2017 goes to this special little man; Jet Benbow.  Jet is still only a baby, and has been coming to us since he was a little puppy, he has now had a handful of ‘big boy haircuts’ and really is becoming a little star! We think Jet deserves to be our Dog of the Month due to his phenomenal behaviour and his ability to take it all in his little paws, but also to his mum and dad, as each time Jet arrives, his coat is in perfect condition, with no knots in sight! As many owners of fluffy woofs know, this is not an easy task, it requires dedication and commitment to ensure coats are knot free and in good condition, so well done Jet’s Mum and Dad!

We look forward to seeing Jet grow into a splendid young chap!

March 2017- Dolly Haynes

So its time for a change once more, from now on, each dog of the month winner for the next 12 months will be put into a prize draw to win a Pamper session and a Dogyilish hamper! So make sure you keep telling us why your special friend deserves to be Emily’s Groom Room Dog of the Month.

March 2017 Dog of the Month goes to Dolly Haynes; a gorgeous miniature labradoodle! Dolly has been coming to Emily’s Groom Room for a while now having a teddy bear cut, but the last time Dolly visited us, it was time for a change! Dolly’s mum wanted a change, it was time to poodle’ify Dolly…shaved feet and face-the lot!

We were a little nervous of this as Dolly hadn’t had such intricate clipping before…..well she shocked us all-she was absolutely brilliant!! And my word, didn’t Dolly look fabulous after!!

We can’t wait to keep up this trim with Dolly!

January 2018- Tally-Ho Ronaldson

We are back!!! After a break, Dog of the Month is back for the New Year! If your new to this game, each month Emily’s Groom Room team will pick a woof that they think deserves fame and to be crowned ‘Dog of the Month’ this could be due to their behaviour, a story their humans have told us or just because they are so cute!!  After 12 months, the 12 ‘Dogs of the Month’ will be entered into a draw and one lucky woof will win a luxury Emily’s Groom Room hamper!

To kick start us, January 2018 Dog of the Month goes to Tally-Ho! A absolutely gorgeous Sproodle that came for her first hair cut with us.  At only 8 months old, she was foot perfect and acted like a pro throughout her pamper session, resulting in Tally-Ho looking hot to trot!

A massive well done to Tally-Ho and her humans, we can’t wait for you to visit again!

February 2018- Betsy Grant

We’re off again, this month seems to have flown by, so without further delay our Dog of the Month for February 2018 is Betsy Grant!

Betsy has been coming to see us since she was a little puppy, and every time she has come, she has wowed us with how cool, calm and collected she is; taking it all in her stride as though she had been doing it for years! Betsy is about to celebrate her first birthday, and we are so excited to see how she matures, as she already is shaping into a stunning girl!

Happy Birthday Betsy for next month and well done for being so pawesome and being our Dog of the Month for February!

March 2018- Brodie Longley

I can’t believe its this time again, where is the year going? Well our Dog of the Month for March is Brodie Longley!

Brodie came to Emily’s Groom Room for the first time during March, at 8 months old he had never been to a dog groomers before, so his mum was unsure how he would react……but he was an absolute super star! He took it all in his stride and wasn’t fazed at all, he had a quick look at the buzzy thing that was causing his hair to fall by his feet but after quick investigation he decided it was all ok! So here’s a ‘before and after’ of his first big boy hair cut-how cute does he look!

Well done Brodie, we cant wait to see you again!

April 2018- Boris Trerise

Well the sun is shining and its time to announce our April Dog of the Month; its Boris!

Boris came to us for the first time and he was booked to have his first big boy hair cut, after lots of spaniel sniffing around and investigating, Boris was ready! Judging by how quickly he was flying around the salon, we were slightly apprehensive as to whether Boris would be able to keep still long enough for a hair cut…..but as soon as he was in the bath, Boris calmed down and acted like he had been doing it for years! Boris stood like an absolute super star, and he looked so handsome after we thought he deserved to be our Dog of the Month for April!

Massive hugs and kisses to Boris, we can not wait to see you again!

May 2018- Bella Catchpole

It’s that time again, time to announce an extra special woof that has visited us recently, Mays Dog of the Month belongs to Bella Catchpole.

Bella came with her best friend Charlie for the first time to Emily’s Groom Room, and the reason why we believe she is deserving, is that due to health problems Bella has lost both of her eyes; despite this Bella was absolutely amazing! Giving Bella time to get to know us by smell, touch and sound meant that she trusted us throughout the whole grooming process and was just unbelievably calm and inspiring!

We feel very honoured to have groomed such an amazing woof and we can’t wait to see her again!

June 2018- Milou & Beau Glendenning

Well June 2018 Dog of the Month title is shared by brother’s Milou & Beau.  These boys have been coming to us since they were 12 weeks old and my word-they were the cutest bundles of fluff you have ever seen!! So we have watched them grow and develop over the past months but its now time to wave them good bye as the boys and their parents are off on new adventures!

This isn’t the only reason why we think they deserve Dog of the Month, it is because both of the boys have had health complications; to the extent that Mr Milou has already had some major operations, but each time they bounce through the door with their tails wagging and you would never think anything had happened!

We will miss you happy, waggy boys but we wish you all the best of luck for the future and we hope you have a pawesome time in your new adventures xx

July 2018- Oakley Bush

Lovely boy Oakley is crowned our July’s Dog of the Month, as pamper time every couple of months is definitely a date in the diary that Oakley doesn’t look forward to.

Not all woofs enjoy having their hair done, but like Oakley, they look forward to the treat or toy that awaits them! Oakley is an absolute diamond and stands there and lets us make him look handsome once again so he can go home as soon as possible, and for that reason we think Oakley deserves to be July’s Dog of the Month-for being a superstar despite it not being his favourite thing!

August 2018- Bentley Fuller

This gorgeous boy is Bentley! Bentley normally comes with his best pal Snow for a good scrub in the tub and deshed!

Bentley’s mum always worries at how Bentley will behave as he’s a big man and very powerful, but Bentley is as good as gold and loves every minute of it and this is why we think he deserves to be our August ‘Dog of the Month’, as no matter the size, it shows that you can be a giant softy and partial to a pamper session.

September 2018- Echo Rowlands

September’s Dog of the Month goes to a beautiful medical assistance dog; Echo.  On Echo’s first visit, her mum explained to us how Echo has transformed her life and helps her with activities of daily living, as due to health problems these have become harder recently.  Echo had never been to a grooming salon before, but you would never believe this as she was such a super star and stood wagging her tail the whole time!  For both of these reasons we think Echo deserves to be Dog of the Month!

Well done beautiful girl, we look forward to your next visit!
